Other tips:

  • Make sure all vaccinations are up to date.

  • Find out which areas do and don’t permit pets.

  • Make sure your pet has a name tag with your name and phone number.

  • Keep a photo of your pet on your smart phone in case you need to identify it.

  • Bring small bags to pick up waste. Dispose in the garbage, not in the woods.

  • Bring regular dishes and food and try to keep normal feeding schedule.

  • Keep barking to a minimum.
Be respectful of others and realize that not everyone likes dogs or they may be frightened by them.
