Mountain biking opportunities abound with your visit to Branbury State Park. Through the Falls of Lana parking area just south of the park entrance, many miles of riding can be accessed on USFS lands.
The Silver Lake trail follows an old carriage road uphill past the beautiful Falls of Lana and Silver Lake and on to the Goshen parking area. This trail is a gravel roadbed and can be steep at times, but the falls and lake provide great viewing and resting areas The Silver Lake trail connects with the Leicester Hollow Brook trail at Silver Lake. This trail follows, and crosses, Leicester Hollow brook many times as it descends easily from Silver Lake to Rt 53 and can be taken for an easier ascent to Silver Lake. Mountain bikes are to be used on trails specifically signed open to them and any Forest Service road open to vehicle traffic. |
