Sites for the whole month open up on the first business day of the month for most parks, the first business day of the month on or after the 15th of the month for Burton Island.

We have “Online” reservations for you to use from your home computer. We have a call center staffed with trained personnel to assist you in making a reservation and providing information about the parks. And during the camping season, you may directly contact the park where you wish to camp at for reservations within fourteen days of your stay.

Important changes to Burton Island camping reservations:

Many of you have experienced difficulties making camping reservations for Burton Island State Park and we have experienced difficulties helping you! 

Beginning in June 2006, the booking window for Burton Island Reservations will open on the 15th of the month (or the first business day thereafter), instead of the 1st of the month (as will remain the case with other State campgrounds). Doing this allows us to concentrate on Burton Island reservations at a less busy time, thereby streamlining the process for all.

Vermont State Parks, Call Center

Reservations can be made up to eleven months in advance of your stay. For example, if you would like a reservation for July 4, 2008, you can phone our convenient call center on August 1, 2007 to make that reservation. You do not have to wait until August 4, 2007 for an exact date to date reservation. Our Call Center (1-888-409-7579) (VT TDD Relay 1-800-253-0191) operates 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. To camp within 14 days of your call, during the camping season, contact the park directly instead of the Reservation Call Center.

Note: Requirements for a minimum reservation period may apply. There is a reservation fee, per site, regardless of length of reservation period.

Directly contacting a Park

You may call a park directly to make reservations (in the camping season) for camping visits within fourteen days of your stay. If you need the telephone number, visit that park’s web page. You can find the number there. Depending on when in the season you call, or how busy the park is on the day you call, you may receive a recorded message. If the staff could not answer, the message will give you further information on the best time to call the park.

Reservations for camping at Green River Reservoir State Park can be only be made by calling the park beginning May 1, 2007. (802-888-1349) Year-round Reservations for Seyon Lodge State Park also can only be made by calling the park directly. (802-584-3829)
