For two days, all State Park day areas, State owned Historic Sites and the Vermont Historical Museum are open to the public at no charge. Plus, June 10 is Free fishing Day throughout Vermont. For one day only, the whole family can fish statewide without a license.

Free Fishing workshop at Grand Isle & Bennington Fish Hatcheries (no pre-registration required)
Free Rick and the Ramblers concert June 10 at Branbury State Park (2 PM)
Free Green Mtn. Brass Band concert June 11 at Sand Bar State Park (1 PM)
Free Traditional crafts demonstrations at Coolidge State Historic Site (9:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
Plus all the usual good stuff: Canoeing, Hiking, Swimming, Picnicking, Historic Site Tours, Volleyball, Wildlife Watching and Cookouts.

Learn about Vermont's rich History by visiting one of Vermont's 10 state-owned historic sites Free, including the Bennington Battle Monument and Chimney Point State Historic Site. The Vermont Historical Society Museum, 109 State Street Montpelier, will be open for Free.

Special Events:
Saturday, June 10th
Free fishing education events will be held at the Ed Weed Fish Culture Station in Grand Isle and the Bennington Fish Culture Station on June 10. This Grand Isle event begins at 10:00 AM and ends at 3:00 PM. Pre-registration is not required and people may come at any time during the event. This event includes demonstrations and hands-on activities to learn about fish and fishing. The events will be held rain or shine. There will be limited access to fishing at the facility. A limited number of poles will be provided, but those wishing to can bring their own. There will be a variety of non-lead sinkers available for exchange, Free for anyone wishing to convert to a non-toxic product. Anglers are encouraged to exchange lead sinkers for a limited quantity of the non-lead alternative. Contact the Fish & Wildlife Dept. for more information at 802-241-3700.
Free Rick and the Ramblers Concert 2 PM at Branbury State Park on June 10.
Free "The Flora of the Notch" Program. Join botanist Bob Popp for a special tour of the fields and meadows of "Vermont's Brigadoon" - Calvin Coolidge's Plymouth Notch. 10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon. Meet at Calvin Coolidge State Historic Site June 10.
Sunday, June 11th
Free Green Mountain Brass Concert 1 PM at Sand Bar State Park on June 11.
Grace Coolidge Musicale #1. Abigail Charbaneau and Catherine Dornin present the first of piano recitals on the famous "Grace Coolidge piano". An afternoon tea follows at the Wilder House Restaurant. Limited seating; donation suggested. 3:00 - 4:30 PM June 11.
