Lovely Wilgus is well-known to canoeists on the Connecticut River as both a great place to start a canoe adventure or an overnight stop on a longer paddle. The original facilities at Wilgus were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC).

Firewood Alert

Don't bring firewood into the parks - keep invasive insects and diseases out of Vermont forests! If you bring wood from outside a 50 mile radius, you will be asked to exchange it for an equal quantity of Vermont wood. Read more here.
