Pets Pets are not permitted on the sandy beach or in most cabins, but are allowed elsewhere throughout the park including the campers' beach. At this time, only the Lady Slipper cabin is pet-friendly. Please clean up after your pets.

Go 10 miles east on Hwy 9.
Camping Camping: There are 76 tent/RV sites and 20 lean-to sites at the park.
Hiking Hiking: There are several hiking trails, including a 2.7 mile trail around the lake.
Swimming Swimming: There is a small beach at the park with a designated swimming area.
Boating Boating: Boats are welcome at this. Boats are available to rent from the park.
Fishing Fishing: Brook trout can be found in Adams Reservoir.
Picnicking Picnicking: There are picnic tables and numerous other great places to picnic throughout the park.
Stand-up Padding Boarding Stand-up Padding Boarding: SUP's are permitted at this park. Rentals are available.
Nature Program Nature Programs: This park offers nature programs. Please call the park directly for more information.
Horseshoes Horseshoes: There is a horseshoe pit at the park.

Welcome

At 2400 feet, this 398-acre park has the highest elevation campground of any park in Vermont. Woodford is located on a mountain plateau surrounding Adams Reservoir. The high elevation spruce/fir/birch forest provides an ideal setting for the park. Woodford borders the George Aiken Wilderness Area, which is in the Green Mountain National Forest. There are several lakes and ponds in the surrounding area.

In addition to 4 cabins, the campground has 103 sites including 20 lean-tos. The heavily wooded area surrounds the reservoir and offers great camping opportunities. Flush toilets, coin-operated hot showers, and a dump station are provided. There is a small beach and picnic area near the dam with pit toilet facilities. There are several hiking trails, including a 2.7 mile trail around the lake.
